Positive: When we first arrived it hadn't been made clear to us where we were to park but David the owner and host soon pointed us in the right direction. David was a very very welcoming host and spoke good English. The room was very big and light and airy and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in 12 years of travelling to and from Spain through France. Good shower. separate WC to the bathroom which is good too.Dog friendly at no extra charge. It was just 1 night stopover. but we slept very well, the only slight inconvenience is that it seems, the "youth" of Forges seem to think the main round outside the property is the LeMans 24 as soon as it goes past 11pm. only 1 hour 50 mins drive to Calais. Eateries within walking distance and the house is a truly beautiful piece of architecture. quirky and unusual. we would love to stay again. we did NOT take breakfast at the property but the dining room looked lovely and all laid out for other guests

Negative: Road a little noisy. best to close the windows.

Positive: Very nice house, could benefit from some extra care. Friendly host. Overall good experience.

Negative: The room was not suitable for two large beds. The second bed light was missing, the TV remote control was missing (so the TV was not usable), the closet was full of stuff.
