Summary: As soon as you walk into La Maison Du Lac the view of the garden and lake takes your breath away. The property was relaxing and very comfortable. The property has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. There was even Shampoo, Soaps, Cleaning products Salt, Pepper and seasoning etc. The property is very central to lots of places. We visited Amiens, Honfleur, Rouen, Caen and Giverny. All with 1.5hours drive. I Would definitely recommend and would love to return next year.

Summary: Beautiful house by the lake where we could take walks in the close by forest with our dog. Only caveat - some minor things would need to be fixed / renovated (I.e. door of the refrigerator).

Summary: Pleasant stay in this little gite, nicely placed on the edge of town, but still a quiet area. Lovely to have a lake at the bottom of the garden. Gite was very clean and comfortable, Martine was excellent with communication. The huge glass windows made for a lovely view of the lake. Amazing restaurants in reasonable distance, lots to do in the area. Thank you Martine.

Summary: firstly its a lovely house and a great location. Forges-les-eaux is a wonderful little town. As soon as we entered the property I looked into the kitchen area and the black floor tiles had some dirty foot marks on. upon going into the kitchen to put our food away I saw dirty sticky marks on the cupboard doors and then saw crumbs on the sides towards the back. I cleaned all the kitchen and the floor. I then decided to sweep to be on the safe side as we don't wear shoes inside at home or away. There was quite a lot of muck came up and grass. There was a woollen blanket on the bed in the room near the patio and it was covered in dog hairs I couldn't believe that it hadn't been noticed. The next day I hoovered the sofas and the deep pink chair as there were bits and hairs on those. Besides that we had a fabulous time. Le Valhalla which is just up the road was amazing, great food very friendly people too, we used google translate. The casino was a great experience and amazing food at the Le Bistro. We couldn't travel too far as our car wasn't used to heat and we were having problems, but we did venture out. We enjoyed having a BBQ and a wonder along the paths a the bottom of the garden. Made use of the bikes too, A handy tip keep the shutters down and leave the windows open when it's sunny as it gets like a green house inside the house, if you just leave them up and open the windows you get flies in. All in All it was a wonderful holiday and house.
