Positive: The hotel staff are very hospitable and they speak very good English. The dinner & breakfast were fantastic! The environment is very pleasant & serene as it is surrounded by the sea.

Negative: The amenities in the onsen is very scarce. We saw a cockroach in our room. Not much activities.

Summary: An unusual kind of stay as it is in an island, a good place to relax and great value.

Positive: Exceptional, courteous and diligent staff. Excellent views of the exquisite foliage on the visible hills. Fabulous meals.

Negative: No complaints. Stayed in the older wing which could be improved with some renovation to include for instance tatami flooring in the rooms.

Summary: Highly recommend this place, especially after multi day hiking on the Kumono Kodo trail.

Positive: The remodel of the property is outstanding, we particularly liked the rooms and the dinning experience. We appreciated that they allowed me to add a friend to dinner. Also, the ice cream box was a big hit with my family.
