Positive: It was closer to the train station connected by buses and also walkable if someone wants to walk. They give everything you need.

Negative: I think I booked a wrong room by mistake. I would have preferred to have a bathroom in my room that particular day but it’s on me that I made a wrong booking. But one thing though staff seemed a bit tired. They didn’t deny any request or anything but it was interesting to see that they seemed a bit uninterested. But that’s how the staff are in Europe most of the times soo it didn’t bother me that much.

Summary: Definitely a decent option to stay.

Positive: Well situated for both Kiso town and exploring further afield. The room was comfy, a bit cold at night, overlooking the river. We had dinner one night which was a good fulfilling basic meal. Breakfast was varied with both Japanese and more western options. Access to free hot and cold drinks all day. Excellent onsen. Very good value for money.

Negative: The only place to sit is in reception which was a bit chilly in the evening. Staff were a reluctant to offer extra towels for the onsen.

Summary: Good value hotel. Great as a base for exploring.
