Positive: We liked the host (Scott and Sally). They put you at ease straight away. The room was very nice and warm. The bathroom was very clean, with a amazing shower. If ever we need to stay overnight again in this area, I would definitely book kingsbarns again.

Positive: Scott and Sally were amazing.

Negative: The room could have been cleaned better, the bed sheets had hair on them and were slightly dusty. While the house itself was quite posh, it didn’t quite feel worth the money. No offence to the owners, as they were very pleasant and friendly throughout. The check-in time was also unusually late at 5:30pm. Most places allow check-in by 2pm, so this was a bit inconvenient. That said, they did accommodate my late check-out request on the final day, which I appreciated.

Positive: In our work we have stayed at some of the finest hotels across the world. The standard and quality of decor here, not only matched, but in many cases surpassed these. A beautifully appointed room. Above that, the welcome that Scott and Sally gave, made us feel we had come home. We travelled with our Labrador, and we felt he was just as welcome. A big thank you to you both. Hope to have the chance to stay again.

Negative: In this case, the question is irrelevant. There was absolutely nothing that we would be able to find fault with. A totally pleasurable stay. Our only regret is that it was just the one night's stay.

Summary: Five star accommodation but with the warmest of welcomes. Thank you!

Positive: Scott and Sally welcomed us into their beautiful home, tucked away in a peaceful and scenic location. The property is gated with convenient parking available. A special thank you to Scott for his excellent dining recommendations nearby. Both hosts were warm and thoughtful, and the refreshments of tea, coffee, and drinks were a lovely touch. The ensuite and room were finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. We would be delighted to stay again!

Positive: 3rd stay and I love being here, I feel so at home, Scott and Sal always go above and beyond, wonderful fun generous couple. As in previous reviews ive said how beautiful their home is, always clean and comfortable. But this is somewhere you can stay and be right into nature. The fields are right there at the bottom of the drive, owls, deer, rabbits and wild berries surround. There is a peace to the location, quiet walks, sitting on the bench looking out into the countryside and hearing the church bells. Stunning location.
