Positive: The homestay is near the market area. Freddy the host is a very helpful and nice person. He helped us with his local expertise to visit offbeat places. The room is clean, affordable and pocket friendly. The washroom is clean. He got us a breakfast combo which is good. Visiting again for sure. Inshort is recommended for tourists who prefer sweet and simple homestay (pocket friendly) which is clean and hygienic rather than just spending a night at a fancy hotel. P.S: He provided us with a parking space for our car in his own property.

Positive: This place is located just slightly away from the Sohra marketplace, so that while you're still very close to town, the place itself is quiet and peaceful. This is an old house, with high ceilings and spacious rooms. But it still has all the modern amenities. My host, Fredy, made sure I had no trouble reaching the place, even coming out to the road to make sure I reached. I booked the place last minute and he was immediately available on call. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and you can even order the food directly to the homestay, just ask Fredy. This is a very short distance from Nohkalikai falls, as well as from the Seven Sisters viewpoint. I loved my one night's stay here.

Negative: I could hear people staying on the first floor easily and even if they were talking or snoring, it was coming through.

Positive: The accommodation is conveniently located just behind the Cherapunji Bazaar/Market. The manager sent someone to greet me, as it's a bit hidden in a back street. So it's quiet, with a spacious room and private bathroom. There's a big terrace outside and a sitting area in the room. There's a large water heater in the bathroom?, plenty of hot water and some large, fluffy blankets for those cold nights. The host is friendly and helpful. In short, a nice stay.

Negative: It would be nice to have drinking water for guests, and perhaps a water kettle in the room.
