Perfect pet friendly beach getaway located right off Ridge Rd close to restaurants and shopping. This quaint cottage offers all the amenities, with bright, open rooms, perfect for a comfortable vacation. This house has a large, screened porch, outside shower and fire pit on the patio. Been working hard over the cold months to make Josie's Getaway as perfect as ever. We listen to your comments and are always looking to improve our cottage. For 2025 we have New Queen Mattress, Recushioned sofa and new deck furniture.
Pet friendly home $75. (per pet) will be added to your reservation. 2 dog maximum. only. 2 night minimum in off Season.
Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid. If less then 30 days:the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

It was clean and welcoming. The owners , Jaye and Jodi, make you feel like family. Josie’s Getaway definitely feels like home! From the well stocked kitchen to the little free library, Josie’s is so stress free. The porch with swing is so charming and our family loves the fire pit. Beach themed with pony books and pictures, this house is a gem! Truly one of the best places to stay on the island! Our family loves and recommends Josie’s Getaway- 100%!

Reviewer Comments: We love the location and the rental is very nice and fully stocked with everything we need.The only complaints we are he living room furniture. The sofas are very uncomfortable and worn out it’s difficult to sit on them especially if you have back and knee problems. And the TV channels are not good at all. We couldn’t even get local news!

Never turned on the tv since there is so much to do! And all the details they put into their guests experience from having indoor and outdoor games, beach chairs, the adored porch bed which is great for afternoon naps, and the welcome bag! We LOVE Chincoteague and have for many years, this house will be one we stay in again for sure! The only suggestion is to upgrade the queen mattress. Aside from that everything was wonderful and felt like home.
