Summary: We have stayed at this property several times. It’s a great location for a nice quiet getaway. Fantastic birding and long walks. Very easy to get to Garner State Park to hang out in the river. The cabin is clean and spacious and well equipped. The only heads up I would give is that the stairs to the two beds on top are steep, so be prepared for that. I love staying here and really appreciate that my dog is welcome too!!

Summary: Very clean cabin and beautiful parks. We had a great time walking the trail. We recommend the barbecue place in Leakey “The Hog Pen on 336 BBQ. The only disappointment was that the river behind the cabin was dried and according to previous comments it has been dried for a few years.

Summary: 6 of us stayed in the cabin and attended an Octoberfest celebration at a private ranch nearby. We had a great time in the cozy cabin. We barbecued bratwurst sausages and fajitas one night.

Summary: Our trip was not the trip that we had planned due to a death in the family but provided us with the quiet that we needed. The cabin is very quaint and cute and the outdoor spaces are very relaxing. The river was not up during our stay but you could tell that it would have been wonderfully relaxing. The kids loved the little loft upstairs

Summary: This house is small but just right for 2 people. Did not need the upstairs bunks. Had all the kitchen utensils needed. The only concern was the totally dry Sabinal River behind it. Property was clean and well-organized…everything in good working order. Quiet and comfortable.
