Positive: This is one of the best, if not the best, places to stay on Ikaria. We loved everything about the accommodation, the location and the host. This one bedroom apartment is spacious, beautifully appointed with a modern luxurious bathroom. The cherry on the cake is the wrap around massive outdoor terrace for the sole use of the guests. The views from the terrace towards the valley and the mountains are stupendous, not to mention the sunsets. We spent hours relaxing on the terrace enjoying the beauty and peace of the surroundings. The house is only ten minutes walk from the centre of the village of Akamatra where you can sit in the picturesque village square in the shade of the trees sipping coffee or having an authentic Ikarian meal. There are a few hiking routes starting right from the village square for example to Koskina castle or one of the most beautiful trails on the island from Akamatra to the village of Droutsoulas. The village of Petropouli where the trail through Rantis Forest starts is only ten minutes drive away and it only takes 20 minutes to drive to Seichelles beach or the beaches in the north. Thank you Ioanna and George for your very warm welcome and your amazing hospitality, your place is truly special.

Positive: Very quiet area, amazing large patio with lots of comforts. Parking right outside, you must obviously have a car, it is a few km inland. Modern bathroom and spacious living areas. Our hosts were fantastic.
Negative: Wifi was spotty in the evenings.

Positive: We were the first to stay in this lovely house and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The moment we arrived Joanna and George greeted us so kindly with big smiles and a walkthrough of the beautiful space. The photos don’t do it justice - the house is spotlessly clean and brand new, and it was equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay (cookware, full kitchen, WiFi, towels, etc). They even left us orange juice and cookies! The view from the large patio is breathtaking and is a sweeping panoramic of the mountains and villages down below. It felt like a dream we never wanted to wake up from. There are a few AMAZING restaurants and a bakery in the village just a ten minute walk from the house that are a MUSY TRY (we went several times), and many beautiful beaches are a short drive down the mountain. A positive highlight of the trip: The island had a brief power outage one night, and Joanna, George greeted us with lanterns and assurances which turned the unfortunate mishap into a romantic, magical and peaceful half hour of star gazing and relaxation. Another sweet addition was an adorable family of kittens and their mother that would stop by daily to say hello and lay in the sun on the patio. 10/10 experience, we had the best time ever and would absolutely stay again if we ever have the privilege again. Thank you Joanna and George!

Positive: We had the pleasure of being the very first guests in this beautiful brand-new house in Ikaria, and it was an absolute delight. Everything was spotless, fresh, and in perfect condition. The location is wonderful, just 5 minutes from the charming Akamatra village in a peaceful area surrounded by nature. The huge private balcony offers stunning views over the valley, making it the perfect place to relax and soak in the island’s beauty. Inside, everything is brand new, tastefully furnished, and very comfortable. Our hosts, Joanna and George, were incredibly welcoming and helpful with anything we needed, making our stay feel extra special. We highly recommend this little gem to anyone visiting Ikaria, a truly unforgettable experience.
