Summary: Wonderful stay! A bit of an uphill climb if you don’t have a car but its well worth it! Beautiful villa with an even more beautiful view of the sea!

Summary: Villa Christina is a simple place on a simple, yet magical island, away from the worst kind of Greek tourism. And simple is all you need here: rooms and balconies spacious enough for relaxing and eating, using the basic but well-enough equipped kitchen. Apart from its excellent beach (which was not as crowded in August as we had been led to believe it might be), Nas is a very good base for exploring the remote and adventurous western end of an island to which we have vowed to return. Thank you Edeltraud for your excellent and efficient service, and to Dimitri for giving us everything we needed, including picking up the hire car at one port and leaving it at the other. PS We are fellow HomeAway owners, and offer 445248 in Marbella, Andalucía, Spain + 811982 near Lucca, Tuscany, Italy + 812090 in Polzeath, Cornwall UK. All three have views that are in the same league as Villa Christina's wonderful sunset panoramas.

Summary: Nas bay is fantastic and the view from Villa Christina is amazing. We've seen quite all the sunsets from the terrace: it seems to be in the first line at theatre. The place where the sun enters in the sea is perfectly in line with the terrace and the beach. The owner was very organized for the rented car and the services in the house was very good. We are very glad we've rented this apartment and it will remain in our memories forever!!!

Summary: Villa Christina sits on a perch, overlooking the Bay of Nas and abutting the Chalares Canyon. From high above, the enormous terrace of our large, clean and new apartment offered unparalleled views and sunsets, as well as a soundtrack of distant waves at the beach and the hum and croak of the river and its frogs below in the canyon. The orchards and vineyards surrounding the house attracted a constant stream of butterflies. And because the Villa is a few minutes outside of Nas town by foot, it feels remote and private. Nonetheless, in just a few steps, a good meal overlooking one of the most dramatic beaches in Greece can be yours. The town itself is quite small and apart from the tavernas, studios for rent, a tourist office, and a ceramic studio, the "scene" is minimal. The confluence of the river and the sea at the Bay and the presence of a Sanctuary to Artemis creates a sense of mystical, natural experience. As a result, Nas attracts visitors who may be more interested in an off-the-beaten-path experience. The beach has its share of nudists, and the canyon is a great place to begin hiking along the river and into the mountainous interior. Dimitri, the owner of the Villa, was always accessible and generous with his time. He secured us bicycles to rent from a friend, and after a bit of a snafu with transportation on our end, he took us to the airport on the other side of the island-- almost a two-hour trip. We will be returning to this unique Greek island-- and to our little corner of it at Villa Christina.

Summary: If you're looking for peace and quiet, wonderful people and beautiful scenery, Ikaria and the Villa Christina are perfect. Ikaria is really special, I didn't think there were any unspoilt Greek islands left, but Ikaria really surprised me - not a disco or an English breakfast in sight! The people are lovely - unhurried, relaxed, and so kind, and the food was WONDERFUL. Our apartment in the Villa Christina was beautiful, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and in a stunning setting, overlooking Nas beach and the ruins (amazing sunsets) and walking distance to 4 lovely restaurants and the beach. Edeltraud and Dimitris were excellent hosts - I've never met anyone as well organised and helpful as Edeltraud in my life! You really need a car here, taxis are extremely few and far between, (at least in May) but Dimitris can organise one for you. You have to leave the pace of modern life at home, and if you're planning to explore you have to be fine with windy, unpaved roads, sometimes with a steep drop, but I wholeheartedly recommend Ikaria and the Villa Christina to anyone with a bit of a sense of adventure, looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a wonderful, traditional, beautiful place. Thank you for everything, Edeltraud and Dimitris! Si buscas tranquilidad, buena gente y paisaje bonito, Ikaria y la Villa Christina son perfectos. Ikaria es muy especial, yo no pensaba que aun habia islas griegas no turisticamente explotadas, pero Ikaria me ha sorprendido - ni una discoteca ni luzes de neon! La gente es genial - sin prisa y muy amable, y la comida es MARAVILLOSA. Nuestro apartamento en la Villa Christina era muy bonito, muy limpio y bellamente amueblado, y y la situación es genial, vistas a la playa de Nas y las ruinas (maravilloso puesta de sol) y se puede andar a 4 restaurantes y a la playa. Hay que tener un coche, los taxis son pocos (en mayo), pero Dimitris lo organiza. Hay que dejar la prisa de la vida moderna, y no tener miedo de carreteras estrechas junto a precipicios, pero yo recomiendo Ikaria y la Villa Christina para cualquiera que tenga amor por la aventura y que quiera escapar de la vida agitada en un sitio precioso y tradicional.

Summary: Posso dire di essere stata favorevolmente colpoita dalla bellezza dell'isola di Ikaria.Le informazioni apprese su Eco-Ikaria erano proprio rispondenti al vero. Talvolta ci si trovava di fronte a a lughi che nella reealtà si presentavano spettacolari, selvaggi, meravigliosi. Gli abitanti: gentili, generosi, autentici.Per non parlare poi di Villa Christina,bellissima la casa, bellissima la posizione, unica, incantevole, romantica....che dire, una vacanza super. Porto un ricordo magico e forse vi ritornerò anche la prossima estate perchè mai mi era accaduto di trovare un benessere psicofisico così perfetto in vacanza. Comlimenti!

Summary: Insel, Ort und Apartment waren einfach ein Traum. Sicher nicht für Leute, die viel Trubel, Party oder sonst was suchen, aber für die, die einfach mal runter kommen wollen ist die Villa Christina in Nas genauch das richtige. Ein sauberes, für zwei Personen absolut ausreichendes Apartment mit einer riesigen Terrasse mit spektakulärem Blick über Nas, die Bucht von Nas und das Meer. Der Ort besteht aus ganz wenigen Häusern, von denen die meisten eigentlich Tavernen sind, deren Bedienungen und Besitzer unglaublich freundlich sind. Alles in allem: einfach zu empfehlen!

Summary: Der phantastische Blick weit über das Meer und hinunter zur kleinen Bucht von Nas hat uns ebenso begeistert wie die große Terrasse, von der aus man die tollen Sonnenuntergänge oder den Sternenhimmel genießen kann. Das Appartement war überaus geräumig, hell und ansprechend eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Besitzer und Mitarbeiter waren außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, man fühlt sich trotzdem nicht abgeschieden, da es in der Nähe mehrere wirklich ausgezeichnete Tavernen und die Möglichkeit zum Einkaufen gibt. Ikaria selbst ist landschaftlich sehr attraktiv und fruchtbar und bietet wunderbare Wander- und Bademöglichkeiten. Sowohl der heimische Wein als auch das selbst angebaute Gemüse sind sehr schmackhaft. Da die Insel langgestreckt und relativ hoch ist, empfiehlt sich - zumindest zeitweise - ein Leihwagen.

Summary: Ruhige Wohnung mit tollen Blick auf die Bucht von Nas mit einem sagenhaften Sonnenuntergang. Toller Service und Ausstattung(alle 3-4Tage neue Handtücher und Bettwäsche, Spülmittel und Schwamm, Toilettenpapier, Müllentsorgung und gelegentlich Früchte oder Gemüse), was für Ferienwohnungen selten ist. Absolute Erholung beim Baden an Sandstranden (Nordküste), schnorcheln an den Kiesstränden (Südküste, vorallem die Seycellenbucht - ein Muss!), oder Wandern (Herrliche Kieferwälder vorallem in der Gegend von Christos Raches und im Canyon des Staussees), Zeit der Entspannung und des Lesens, da keine deutschen Zeitungen, kein Radio und nur einen Fernseher mit 1 schlecht empfangenen Programm gibt. Für Romantiker abseits der großen Touristenströme eineTipp Restaurants und kleine "Tante Emma-Läden" in Nas und Armenistis mit sehr guter Qualität. Für die vielseitigen Entdeckungen die die Insel birgt ist ein Mietwagen zu empfehlen (Ikaria-Holidays in Nas - günstig und unkompliziert).
