Negative: You have to know that without the car you will not be able to move around. Also consideration for tall people, the bed is quite short and it’s not so easy to move in the shower :)

Positive: Lovely place to stay. Small but perfectly furnished, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful views from the deck and fields of lovely horses behind. Compared to other cabins and lodges we've visited these are very well spaced out. Quite close to Edinburgh but you wouldn't know it. Beautiful countryside to explore if you want to or only 25mins to Edinburgh shoreline at Portabello and Leith, or less to a Park and Ride into the city centre (highly recommended rather than driving and parking). Two nearby small towns have all you need for shops etc. Good WiFi and internet. Definitely recommend. Top tip: TV is via the internet on a Amazon Fire TV stick. So you'll need a free Amazon account and usernames and passwords for your preferred streaming services including BBC, ITV &C4 etc. It's so so much easier if you've already set these up beforehand on your phone or tablet then you can just log in with a code.

Positive: Absolutely everything, clean, cosy, the views, the deer, fox, heron, the hares, rabbits, horses and above all, lovely Nicky and her Dad. Amazing to just sit, relax and let the world go by, somewhere else! 2 great restaurants very nearby, as a bonus.

Positive: Loved our 2 night break. Spotless ,comfortable and warm .Lots of little extras too. Perfect location. Decking to sit out and enjoy a morning coffee . Hot shower and well stocked kitchen with everything you need. Parking right next to pod. Friendly and welcoming host on arrival 😊
