Summary: Absolutely beautiful place to stay. My first time in Scotland and this hotel felt like a home. The staff were some of the most friendly I have encountered on my travels. The views outside were to die for. I did come during a heat wave and my room did not have a/c. I will say though it added to the pathetic of a very old school hotel which I did think was fun. Overall I will be staying here each time I visit Dundee.

Summary: A really lovely hotel with friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The only thing that let it down was no aircon in the room despite 31° outside and the wlfi wouldn't work

Summary: Twin room depicted on site was lovely but we got a small room with no space between the beds, mentioned this to receptionist and reply was that we should have called in advance ( not forthcoming or friendly)! We arrived at 3:30 and that was too late according to receptionist and all the comfortable twin rooms were taken! The flushing WC mechanism was not working properly unless you had the strength of a body builder!

Summary: The hotel was great value for money, giving us a king sized bed and 2 singles in a separate bedroom- very handy for the children to sleep earlier than me. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty with a wide range of options. The only downside is that the floor boards in the corridors were very creaky, and the heavy doors made a lot of noise on closing, meaning my sleep was pretty poor. A big shame as I would have used this hotel again on a road trip down to England, but sleep is crucial on a long drive.
