Summary: The home was very comfortable as a base point of exploration. Even on the rainy day the home was cozy enough for lounging inside. We saw deer next to the home. Its wonderful to find a location that accommodates us having a dog.

Summary: A weekend in McGregor IA to attend a family funeral. Our hosts were amazing from the time we booked till we left to check in w/us on our accommodations. The property is a beautiful home w/ all new amenities plus dog friendly. We had access to a full backyard for our dog plus able to grill out & sit on a private balcony to enjoy meals & overlook downtown McGregor! We highly recommend this property. Super clean & has everything you need to feel like you are @ home. Thank you to our hosts. A true gem

Summary: On the view your rental page where I was supposed to get the address and how to check in, it would not open anything up so we could find out the info we needed. Since I grew up in McGregor, I was familiar as to where the property was just from the map you had. There was no address on any of the forms

Summary: The vrbo House on the Hill was fabulous! All was wonderful and just as pictured and described! The town of McGregor, Iowa was like we had walked into a Hallmark Movie! The town was a picturesque river town! We will return! I recommend this vrbo!

Summary: We stayed at the House on the Hill instead of getting a hotel room-- totally worth it! It's within walking distance of downtown McGregor and a short drive across the river to Prairie Du Chien. I come down every year for the Great River Road Road Race that takes place at Pikes Peak State Park (bonus, the park is only 3 miles away from the house). The property was clean and inviting. We look forward to coming back down next year!
