Summary: Nestled in the cute town of McGregor this apartment was a win for our family. The kids were excited to stay above a sweets shop. We were all impressed with the decor and furnishings, like a step back in time! Check in was easy, the entry way with little brochures and an Iowa map was nice. They had a little welcome snack of microwave popcorn. The space was very neat and tidy. Kitchen was fully stocked making it easy to cook. Plenty of linens. The view was wonderful. The kids liked watching the trains, barges, and boats on the river. Everyone we encountered in town was friendly. The gas station across the street is like a mini grocery store which was super convenient. I highly recommend this stay for anyone! Would make a great couples getaway spot as well as families (our 3 year old is pretty good about not touching breakables so consider your own kids prior to staying). The hosts were super responsive and the sweets shop is lovely. Everyone really enjoyed it.
