The Suzanna villa facing the golf Laconia welcome you to the heart of a typical vegetation of Greece. Pines, olive trees, bougainvillea, jasmine, oleander and red wear his garden over 5,000 m². From the large terrace with a glass of Ouzo, Rezina or Nemea red hand, fragrances, light and colors of the Greek natural delight you. In the morning a gentle heat will accompany your breakfast in the humble pergola covered with vines. You will delight delicious thyme honey (mish timarisio) from the Taygetos tender pastélis (honey cakes and sesame) of patissier Manolakoses or simply those pretty purple figs randomly picked one of your walks.
The house built by my family in 1978 was renovated in 2014.
The white marble floors in all rooms will bring a little freshness in summer.
At home you will find neither air conditioning nor television! On the other hand your mobile phones will work perfectly in the house and everywhere in the garden.
Our house has a bedroom with a double bed 160 cm and a large wardrobe.
A large bright room includes kitchen dining area and living room. This last part is equipped with a sofa three places transforming into bed for two people.
At your disposal also, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. You will find an outdoor shower built in nature and very convenient when you come back from the beach.
For the mid-season, the house is equipped with two electric heaters in the main room a towel radiator in the bathroom.
All bay windows are equipped with removable mosquito nets to enjoy the cool night at the shelter of mosquitoes.
On your request we can put at your disposal

-A child mattress 110x65.
- A folding bed for very young children.

Located below, Mavrovouni beach is known for its caretta-caretta turtles that come to lay each year in July.
To get to this beautiful beach (blue flag) you will only need 2 minutes by car or 10 minutes on foot!
You will find restaurants and small shops 5 minutes walk in the village of Mavrovouni, a wider choice is offered in the port of Gythio (5 minutes by car).
At the port of Gythion you can take the boat to visit nearby Kythera.

Summary: Arranged to meet at local hotel to pick up keys and was taken to the house and shown round. Stunning views from the terrace which surrounds the house on three sides. We were here late September when there had been no rain for a long time and the garden was very dry and a little brown but really enjoyed the hammock under the biggest tree. The sea was warm and the long sandy beach at Mavrovoni is only a few minutes walk away. Not entirely sure where photo 23 out of 24 on website is but this is not Mavrovoni or Gythio although the walk to the beach is downhill the rest of the village is at the same level as the house. Could buy fresh bread and food in the village and there is a choice of tavernas to eat out at where we were well looked after. Great fish to be had in Gythio. We spent a couple of days exploring the Mani further south and found some lovely coves and beaches to swim and enjoyed driving up into the mountains on some hair raising roads but there was almost no traffic and it was well worth it for the views. The house is well equipped and feels like a family home with maps, games and even a telescope for moon gazing. Shower looks newly installed and is particularly good.

Summary: We spent a week in this charming region completely off season. The streets and roads were empty, leaving this beautiful site nearly to ourselves. The house is extremely simple, but you will spend your every waking hour outside enjoying this unparalleled view. If you're a city person, this place is not for you. The back garden is host to some impressive flora and fauna, including the range of insects southern Europe has to offer, neighborhood cats and even a wild tortoise. We will definitely consider returning!

Summary: My boyfriend and I visited Gythio earlier this summer and had the most fantastic weeks holiday. The house is set in a big garden (we saw a wild tortoise one night) and the interior is large, with a wonderful light open plan kitchen/dinning room/lounge. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and was very quite throughout the week with the most spectacular views of the mountains. There is a bakery with lovely fresh bread and pastries a 15 minute walk away and all the people were very friendly. The owner was also very helpful before and after our stay. There are lots of places to see close by, although I would recommed you hire a car as it's all a drive away. Gytheio is a friendly fishing village with a great evening atmosphere for a meal out. I would definitely recommend a stay at here!
