Positive: Friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful setting and architecture, beautiful room with a comfortable bed, delicious pasta.

Negative: Decor in the living areas needs updating, dining at night/decor and ambiance needs updating to fulfill the 5-star rating of this idyllic setting and building. The accommodating and friendly staff filled in for the gaps, but to make it feel 5-star some work is needed in the reception and dining and common space areas.

Positive: Beautiful property with lots of original features. The room was huge and clean.

Negative: View over car park. Balcony not very inviting. Food was hit and miss. Pasta at lunch was lovely but steak at dinner was tough and over cooked. Staff were pleasant enough but could probably be a bit more proactive around the pool (had to hunt for someone to get a drink).

Summary: Very nice but wouldn’t necessarily go back. Nothing wrong with hotel just maybe not for us.

Positive: The personnel, the wonderful very professional and helpful people. They have made our stay stays very memorable, everybody was wonderful, Hibah at the reception and Rainer at the restaurant were especially amazing! The food, great quality and wonderful very personable dinner experience.

Negative: The bathroom fixtures were pretty crummy, loose, leaking, old, you may want to bring them up to the otherwise excellent standards of the place. The bed was not exactly up to current standards, the mattress should be replaced to make it more firm.....

Positive: Very quiet location, beautiful large room/suite -huge bed. Pool and gardens lovely, plenty of space. Staff were very friendly and offered excellent service. Food was very tasty, and flexible by offering access to three meals a day. Perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Negative: Only negative was we had a shower with temperamental temperatures, definitely need a car for this hotel as very remote.
