Positive: This was definitely one of the highlights of my stays during my three weeks in Armenia! The owner, Edgar, and his wife run this quaint hotel set back in the old industrial area of Kapan. While some might overlook this area, it’s a quiet area tucked away among old Soviet factories – perfect for the adventurer and getting to see the true side of Kapan. I was welcomed by Edgar and his hospitality upon my arrival to the hotel. He showed me everything, including the common area and my spacious and well-laid out room. It turns out that the hotel building was an administrative building of an old factory which Edgar’s father owned. It was thoughtfully remodeled last year and turned into a hotel. I had a wonderful night sleep and felt well-rested. It was very clean inside and bright. In the morning, I enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast made by Edgar’s wife, including fruit from their garden. This was top-notch hospitality and my only regret is that I didn’t stay longer! I spoke to Edgar in Russian, but I believe that he speaks English too. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown of Kapan. Upon my arrival and departure, he gave me fruit from the fruit trees in front of and on the side of the hotel – pears and apples. He said that he is planning to plant kiwi vines soon – so maybe I’ll have to be back in the future for the kiwi!

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: This is THE place to stay in Kapan – unmatched hospitality and comfort! A true highlight!

Positive: Sufficiently equipped, this hotel makes up for everything it may lack (yet) in facilities utmost client-friendliness. Don't judge by the cover: inside is much better than the outside. Air conditioning, round-the-clock hot water (yes, it matters in Armenia), healthy breakfast, and - human attitude: feels like meeting a distant relative.

Negative: Dogs were rather relentless barking in the neighbourhood at night - a common problem in Armenian cities, sadly.

Positive: very nice host and staff. clean and tidy room with AC. nice and basic breakfast. you can order delivery from restaurants in Kapan if you are hungry in the evening.

Negative: the location is a little bit tricky, ask around as there is another hotel just next to it, and the navigator will drive you there, we have been attacked by mascitos, do not open the window during the summer, especially on the ground floor.

Positive: Hotel appears exactly as it it looks on the photos. The room was extremely clean and convenient. Edgar and his wife are wonderful hosts who put their soul in this business. Everything at the hotel is very thoughtful and makes you feel like home. Will definitely stay there again! Much success and prosperity to your business!

Positive: Had a great stay here! Arrived and was welcomed by Edgar. He is very professional and kind. The room was good, clean, and everything was in order. The morning after I had a dilicious breakfast with local products, made by his wife (who makes the best abricot jam!). I had some questions about the area I was going to hike and he was helping me out by calling a friend right away. All in all, a very fresh and good place run by hospitable, kind people!

Negative: If I were to mention something: The beds could have been a bit better. Although this does absolutely not stand in my way to visit again!

Summary: Professional and warm hospitality in a fresh hotel!
