Summary: Room was very small, uncomfortable, and had an unpleasant smell. The common area where meals are served has an hospital vibe. Dinner was the worst in our 2-week Iceland trip. Breakfast was good though.

Summary: The hotel is a summer hotel, and looks like it is used for dormitory purposes. The rooms are very basic, but are serviceable. We found the beds quite uncomfortable, with extremely thin pillows. The curtains did not block out the light of the long daylight hours, so the room was quite bright when trying to sleep. There was a frequent banging sound that vibrated through the building. We think it was the main door, which was banging shut, as people entered and left the building. It made getting enough sleep quite challenging, as the noise and vibrations were occurring until quite late, and started again fairly early in the morning. The breakfast was good, with some hot options, as well as the usual continental breakfast offerings. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
