Positive: Location is excellent. Ski in and ski out, right in the middle of Shiga Kogen ski resort. The physical building is dated but functional and comfortable, and the meals and service are excellent. Do not hesitate.

Positive: The staff were very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Most of them spoke some English. The food was really good, they catered to our dietary requirements (vegetarian and pescatarian). Excellent value for money. Good location on the mountain.

Positive: Choosing this hotel again for my Shiga ski trip is a no brainer. Great location, next to two gondolas, easy access to ski pass office and most of central ski resorts. Cozy vibe. Incredible meals everyday. Spacious, clean tatami room with comfortable beds. Staff are super nice and helpful, Aika-san and her colleagues (unfortunately did not get every names) made me enjoy my stay 100%. Only note to those who prefers private shower, this hotel has only public bath (but with nice hot spring which is all I can hope for after whole day of skiing!)

Positive: Fantastic location close to the best gondola on the mountain. Full ski-in and ski-out access. Really lovely and hospitable staff. Delicious and extensive breakfasts and dinners - a truly traditional Japanese experience. The onsen had great mountain views and was a welcome experience after a days skiing.

Positive: Exceptional staff - helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Helped plan all our adventures with the help of Google translate and with our departure by providing a shuttle to the bus in heavy snow. Great meals and lovely onsen.

Positive: Excellent breakfasts, relaxing onsen, and the location is really close to the slopes.

Negative: Would've liked to have a trash can in the room for general trash. If not, have a guide on how to get rid of it so it's easier for international travellers.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff was very accommodating and considerate.

Positive: The staff is absolutely fantastic! They doesn’t speak English but whit google translate, hands and feet we became really far. They helped us with planning our trip back to Nagano. In case you need help for information about the bus etc. go to the reception! They even brought us to the bus stop in heavy snow! The food is delicious! Super Japanese which gave us a traditional feeling. We also booked the typical Japanese room, do it for the experience (not for the comfort…) After a long day of skiing and cold the hot water spring is so nice and warm! Our best Japanese experience we had here and we will definitely come back!
