Summary: The stay was decent. When we arrived late at night, we had to wait several minutes for someone to even come out to the desk. It was annoying since we were tired from traveling. We are a family of 4 and stayed in a room with two double beds. There were 2 wash cloths, 3 hand towels, and 3 bath towels. There was one tiny (single-use) bottle of each: shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The pool was nice, but the pool towels were gone by the time we got out of the pool and needed them. The free breakfast was great for our kids, but not good options for the more health-conscious adults. Make your own waffles, yogurt, packaged muffins, and all kid cereal (froot loops, cocoa pebbles, etc). We were in Gurnee to go to Great America and do some shopping, and for that, the location is ideal.

Summary: This hotel had the potential to be fancy but really seemed worn down. The beds were comfortable but small. There was a huge gap in the door (side and bottom). It was significant enough that my husband put a towel under it so no one could look in. There were only blinds on the windows, so light shone in and woke everyone up early. The pool had a 7.5 ft deep end which the kids loved. Unfortunately, the water was murky and the room smelled like a pet shop. There was an interesting looking courtyard that we didn't use this trip.

Summary: Everything was clean , but whatever they use to mop the floors smells very much like chemicals and it’s so strong I was coughing when someone was mopping near me. Eventually the whole hotel smelled like that floor mop stuff and it was starting to get to me. The beds are on wheels and that was a little Strange because it doesn’t stay still . Other then that it was a great stay The pool was fantastic !!!perfect temp and a really nice set up. Nice bartender at the bar.

Summary: Staff was nice.. I just want to start off when we got to our room the cleanliness did not hold to par. I found stains on the bed skirt and also the blanket. And when we looked under the bed there were a pair of pantyhose and garbage. Then going to the bathroom the sink had a stain on the marbled area. And the shower head was disgusting... and we were woken up from some guest in the hallway with the police at 2am. It was just very loud.

Summary: Pool was FREEZING, after kids swam for 10 minutes we noticed they had the windows open in winter. "free breakfast" is just pre packaged muffins and fruit. could never find any workers when we needed someone. The entire hotel is under construction which wasn't stated anyplace and had we known that we wouldn't have picked this place either. Then on top of it they charged us for an extra night and still waiting to get that money returned.

Summary: the pool was nice, the kids really enjoyed it. the room was fantastic. They are really doing a great job fixing up this hotel. The staff is warm and friendly, the rooms were nice and clean.
