Summary: The pictures online were photoshopped heavily, making the property look so much better than it was in reality. The pool was visibly dirty and fulled with leaves and debris. In 48 hours never saw any attempt at cleaning it. The breakfast was 100% breads & apples with no protein options. The Family Suite was minimal, with only one chair (no couch as shown in the picture). Of the two twin beds, they were connected side by side, and was broken to the point that we had to pull the mattress off and have that person sleep on the floor for 2 days. On a positive, the staff was friendly and the queen bed & pillows were very comfortable.

Summary: Our days and nights at Hotel Del Sol were a delight! The staff was so warm and helpful, and we really enjoyed the courtyard and pool. The location was ideal, with many sights and delicious restaurants within easy walking distance. Will definitely stay here on my next trip to San Francisco.

Summary: The hotel is in a great location. Easy mile walk to Ghiradelli Square, neighborhood was safe, cute little boutique restaurants and coffee shops just two blocks up. The spread for the continental breakfast is sparse, but the pastries are AMAZING. There's a cool outdoor space with tables and a fire pit. The pool is old and stained, but serviceable. The employees are kind and helpful. The entire hotel is enclosed so it feels super safe. A little enclave, if you will However. No screens on windows. No fridge in the room. The building is old so the rooms are small and the bathrooms are like coffins. Beds are hard and doubles. TV was not HD. IT'S WORLD CUP. No HD. But the worst part is the parking. Yeah, there's parking. It's first come-first served. If you can get it, you can park your 21st century car in a 1970s parking space. I have a mid sized SUV. Not even a big one. For the bargain price of $51/night, I got to crawl out the back because there's not enough room to open the doors. We would not stay again, because of the beds and the bathroom. It was not enough space for a family and no fridge is a deal breaker.

Summary: We stayed for 3 nights in a king-sized room. Our room window faced out to the side and our bathroom had a little window too. The bed was very comfortable & we slept very well, especially after walking around the city! The complaints I do have is their TV is a google TV, so you can only use it if you “share-screen” and that is very inconvenient since most apps don't allow you to screen share, so you're stuck not being able to watch anything from the TV. The room smelled musty, almost like mildewly & I had to turn the AC all the way to 63F just to get some air circulating around the room to take the smell away but when we would come back in the day it would still have that smell.
