Summary: This is an interesting old hotel and you should only come if you really want to enjoy the advantage of stepping back in time. A journey the hotel is a lovely restaurant and the chef there is unbelievable. Be sure to tell him that we all said hello.

Summary: Staying here is an experience. It is a great experience if that is what you're looking for. The location is great. The library is unique (I loved it). There is no staff around, giving you a strong sense of independence. It is a beautiful, old-timey hotel. However, the ceiling lights did not work, and you couldn't look out the windows: they were frosted and were covered with a heavy, dark curtain.

Summary: No staff. Check in was a sheet of paper left at the front desk with a pen and a room key, literally. Room was small but adequate. HVAC was a window a/c unit that leaked outside air in. Heat was central, adjustable but when the outside temp. was 39 degrees, roomgot to 62!

Summary: Nice old charming room, clean and friendly service don't forget about complimentary beignets in the morning with coffee. The restaurant is amazing and a good bar

Summary: Beautifully restored hotel, large rooms with sitting area. Be aware there is NO staff. We were there two days and didn’t see another person. Also, breakfast was NOT provided as advertised. There was a sign at the desk indicating breakfast served daily but was not. Also, Sunday and Monday all the shops/restaurants are closed. It is a cute walkable town however.

Summary: Stayed here before. It’s gone from feeling charming to why are we here? Bathroom doorknob missing and tape was used to keep it from latching. Didn’t work! My husband was trapped in the tiny bathroom. Mattress was terrible! Room not very cool. Oh yeah, we also had no toilet paper!
