Positive: Individual secluded cabanas with all the necessary facilities, if not within the room then available on site. The owner Arturo is exceptional and can organise any extras (eg: guide with birding knowledge for day trips to local Mayan ruins at a fraction of the cost of online options) Town with restaurants and limited shopping all within a few minutes walk.

Negative: Nothing. The swimming pool is great for children but more a plunge pool to cool off for adults.

Summary: Exceptional host with splendid accommodation.

Positive: Arturo, the proprietor, is a wonderful and gracious man who welcomed us daily as we returned to the accommodations. He gave us lots of good advice as to where to go, things to do and places to eat. He joined us one evening for our happy hour gathering, even procuring a bottle of wine and snacks! He has made Casa Las Lolas a very comfortable and interesting place. The cabins are very nicely finished, the gardens with their diverse trees and orchids are interesting. Arturo is improving the property continuously. He is putting in a bar, chairs for astrotourism (dark night) experiences, and a breakfast room. The bhotel is off the main highway so there is no traffic noise.

Negative: The side road that leads to Casa Las Lolas is in rough shape, and the sign to the hotel is easy to miss in the darkness. Once inside the property, however, it's magical!

Positive: Very clean, very comfy beds and helpful host. Pleasant rooms, large tv, good coffee maker. Pleasant porch with hammocks. Good shower with hot water, good pressure.

Negative: The access road is a dirt track that’s quite bumpy and uncomfortable.
