Positive: Old but comfortable heritage site by the small lake. It is not located near the stepwells where the booking.com map places it.

Negative: Why not open the rooftop? Even if the season is winding down it would have been nice to have a drink up there at sundown. I did anyway, but it wasn't very comfortable.

Positive: Excellent location near the palace and lake. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food in the restaurant was good. There were a few different common areas for sitting and a nice plant filled atrium.

Negative: A hairdryer would have been useful and some Indian options in the set breakfast nice but overall, for the price we paid, it was very good value.

Summary: Friendly clean hotel in great location.

Positive: A nice hotel in the old section of town, very close to the fort. The manager was helpful in organising taxi shuttle from Kota, which I appreciated.

Negative: The breakfast was a bit basic (toast-omelette).

Positive: Lovely old haveli beautifully decorated eith authentic Rajasthani art. Staff were amazing especially Jaiendra who worked all day to get my friends lost baggage to her. Our room had a window seat which was lovely

Negative: Nothing really the view was of a back alley but it was quiet and we could hear the children playing which was nice

Positive: We had a maharaja suite. It was awesomely big. Very clean room & excellent shower. Lots of hot water. Location very central yet quiet.

Negative: The hotel was lovely but overall had no ambience. To improve this the staff should be more friendly, you know smile a little rather than look so annoyed at being there. Anyway, don’t pay for breakfast as it was awful - instead walk down the road to one of the excellent coffee shops. There should be a kettle in the room and surprisingly, the bed was small - I am 1.70m and my feet were off the end.
