Positive: Hotel Alia is close to the city centre, on a quiet street near to the beach. It is a welcoming oasis in Djibouti, Oma the lady who manages the guests during the day is welcoming, kind and makes you feel safe and at home. The room is clean, with crisp linen and cold air conditioning. The breakfast is simple but filling, comprising eggs, bread, pastry, tea, coffee and juice. Next door is a restaurant serving delicious local cuisine, very convenient and then a small shop next to that for bits and bobs. Thank you Alia for your wonderful hospitality and memorable stay

Positive: The location is good, it's walkable to the city centre, coffee and local croissant for breakfast, friendly staff on reception
Negative: There was no soap and no toilet paper, nothing! I had to buy it by myself. Not super clean. The fan is very noisy, no open windows, so you have to swith on/off it regularly during the night as well. The owner of the hotel supports the dictators and wars.

Positive: Great value midsize hotel in expensive Djibouti. Location only 5 mins from Sheraton, good staff help, clean, and quiet.

Positive: Djibouti is expensive and this midsize hotel near the Sheraton was quiet, good help from staff, clean, and no problems. Oh and GOOD VALUE
