Positive: The owner collected me by scooter from Surat station and dropped me at the station 2 days later. This was very much appreciated as saved time & cost. The owner provided clean towel, fresh cold water in the evening.

Negative: Lack of privacy. Not knocking on the door and just entering although the owner apologised and this only happened once Cockroaches in the toilet/bathroom area, I eliminated 5-6. Just to make other travellers aware (esp non Indian nationals), this place is very basic and would suit local Indian travellers especially males. Would not recommend it for women travellers, unless used to 'roughing it'. The room is basic and facilities are simple.. Their is a single bed frame, mattress, sheet and blanket provided if required, The adjoining room has a cold shower and toilet, that you share with guests in the rear room. If your expectations are basic this is a good starting point.
