Positive: The location was awesome! The unit was clean, and smartly decorated. The beds were comfortable. It would be nice if there was even a 1/2 bath in addition to the one bathroom. We had 7 women using one bathroom. Of course, we knew that ahead of time, so that was on us.

Negative: We were unable to get into property using the keypad. When we tried to reach the owners, there was no response. Fortunately, we saw the son, who we found out was staying on the property, he was not able to get in but eventually go a hold of his parents and was able to get us in. Also, I had a question on how something worked within the unit, and again, couldn't get a hold of the owner.

Summary: Loved the unit and location. Didn't love the lack of availability of the host.

Positive: We loved the location. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, breweries/distilleries, and shopping to walk to and only a short ride to downtown Portland. The home itself was beautiful. It had the charm of the late 1800's home it used to be but modern touches could be found everywhere (including the most quiet AC window unit I have ever encountered). There is a park right across the street so our view was not hindered. When you walked to the end you were greeted buy a stunning view of Portland.

Negative: My only issue would be the bedroom sizes of the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. We had 6 travelers (2 to each room) and it was very tight. Thankfully there was a sofa bed in the living room we could use..

Positive: The location is excellent, right next to a park with a view and tons of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment is cute, comfortable, spacious, well set up, and well equipped. The beds are comfy! The hosts are responsive and helpful and accomodating. And they allow pets!

Negative: One of the three bedrooms is kinda tiny, but the two double sleeper couches in the LR are actually comfortable to sleep on, and totally make up for it. The bedroom next to the entrance gets a bit loud sometimes from foot traffic on the stairs and upstairs, but it's an apartment in a historic house, so this is to be expected. And there's only one apartment above and one below, so NBD.

Summary: Lovely and comfortable historic apartment in a hip neighborhood.
