Positive: Super lovely staff caring really, really much about every wish. For us as a surfer/non-surfer couple, this was the perfect accommodation as Hima offers great surfing lessons and rentals, but also provides accommodation where you want to spend time at itself. Our expectations towards the bungalows itself were met as it is 1:1 as the pictures, but the staff exceeded our expectations :)

Positive: The location is divine, right on the water. The bathrooms are gorgeous! The room is very comfortable. We loved unwinding there! The hosts are wonderful people. Super helpful. Their son is a careful driver and recommended to do the airport run. It was great ordering in seafood which was very fresh and well prepared by them. One of the best places to stay in the area, for sure!

Negative: The adjacent property is not very attractive, so you have to just look forwards at the great view. There was, however, construction going on there, so is bound to improve. You also need to enter via the family home which is a little shabby, but once you are past that, it's fine.

Positive: HIMA bungalows was some of most luxurious accommodation at Sorake beach. With views of the wave and river frontage, you can walk straight out from the infinity pool to the foreshore and walk up to the wave. Perfect for couples, great bathroom. The host family are super hospitable.

Negative: The food was by far the best on Nias, but if you order specialty meals that are offered outside the menu, they are Aussie high end prices, not Indo prices. Worth the money but just a heads up on the price because menu prices reflect the usual price for the area.

Summary: Welcoming, luxurious, comfortable, great bathrooms!

Positive: Mama and the whole family were very accomodating and friendly. The food was delicious and room was very clean and new. After visiting many other hotels on the street, this is definitely the nicest and good value for money.

Positive: Very nice breakfast, a variety of fresh fruit, fresh juices, granola , eggs, advocado toast. The Auw Family makes you confortable during your whole stay. Nice room, great outside bathroom and a very nice terrace with a swimming pool just in front of the ocean and surfspot. We will come back!
