Positive: We decided to upgrade from a room where we would have been three friends sharing, to a suite with two rooms and two bathrooms. This gave us a lot of space and the upgrade was very reasonable. Having travelled to this resort several times in the past, it was great to return and see all the familiar sights. On our second day we experienced a foam party at the main pool. Oh what fun! The entertainment team really goes out of their way to keep guests entertained. Should you want a peaceful experience, though, there are MANY opportunities to relax quietly at the 4 other swimming pools, or the beach. The food is plentiful, with great variety and you can try a different cocktail every day. The gardens are very well maintained and there are lovely photo opportunities scattered all over the property, for those who are keen are putting their photographic and choreographic skills to the test! The sunsets are magnificent too! You have easy access from the hotel to take one of the many boat trips to Dolphin House. There are a variety of little shops off the hotel foyer, so you ca buy souvenirs. If you forgot to pack something, they will have you covered too.

Negative: There is a great focus on preserving the coral, which I DID like. This means that you have to walk a short distance to the swimming area in the Abu Dabab bay. I didn't mind that either. There are hotels in the vicinity who do not have swimming beaches, so they bring their guests by the bus-load to the bay to swim and snorkel. Not only does it make the bay incredibly loud and busy, the sand gets churned up by having so many people in the water so visibility becomes very difficult. On top of that, you have groups of tourists that arrive with tour guides who are constantly yelling at the tops of their voices, trying to keep their groups together. For a better tip, they also disturb the turtles, prodding them, to make them move/come up. Compared to seven years ago, I can definitely say the snorkeling experience was not as fruitful/pleasant this time round.

Positive: every thing, the whole people working their are - the reception, waiters, life guards, entertainment team , cleaning ,… etc were amazing, they are all helpful, smiling, know how to make the stay prefect . in a word this place is the true meaning of hospitality.

Positive: Beach was excellent though you have to enter the sea along in Abu Dabbab bay. Room was super, secluded and very comfortable. Food was varied and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful.
