Positive: Small but comfy room. Nice bathroom. Fabulous big pillows on a comfy bed. Lovely hotel with a beautiful Smeg fridge and kettle... but you make your coffee in a tacky paper cup. The restaurant staff were super helpful when I wanted to order food to take to my room. I hadn't eaten for nearly 24 hours and assumed the portions would be small in a posh hotel. Whoops! Most of the food exceeded expectations (smoked salmon starter, cheeseboard, and fries) as the portions were huge and tasty, but the crispbreads on the cheese platter had presumably been open for days, as they were bendy and chewy instead of crisp and crunchy. The nuts were devoid of crunch too, as if they'd been stored with fruit or left for days in damp air. A shame as the rest was superb.

Negative: I despise hotels that charge a lot of money but make you sit until precisely check-in time to get your room key, even if the room is ready earlier. They want an extra 50 euros if you want to check-in even just a couple of hours early. I've stayed in numerous Hiltons over the years, and this is the only one that uses this unfriendly policy. Someone needs to test all the signage. I was in room 237. I followed the signs out of the lift...then signage disappeared for my room. I wandered round till I found it. It's not rocket science to check these things when a building is complete! Wifi isn't strong. Despite the room having a massive TV, it didn't have many channels, and those it did have wouldn't all work. There was no access to Netflix, YouTube, etc. It seems odd to have such an archaic system in such a new hotel. Lovely hotel with a beautiful Smeg fridge and kettle... but you make your coffee in a tacky paper cup.

Positive: I didn't have breakfast

Negative: The only thing I could comment on is the location, but it is located in an industrial park so really convenient for business travellers. I had to get to the airport early the next morning, and without a car I was reliant on taxis.

Positive: Rosa at the restaurant (bar) was very helpful and attentive. Ali at the reception was also accommodating and professional.

Negative: The cleaning staff only made my bed and left everything else untouched. The dirty tea cups were not replaced, and we had to buy our own water, as it was never replenished in the room—unless that’s the standard practice.

Negative: Reception team could not prepare an invoice, despite multiple efforts and asking for this during the booking, during check-in. Ended up mailing property for several days, so far without result. Shuttle to/from the airport doesnt run regularly (only in the morning and evening, nothing during the day)
