Positive: Hillcrest Cottage was outstanding. I could just move in tomorrow! The quality of the decor and furnishings was first class. It was a real home from home. We felt very comfortable and the hosts had thought of everything we could possibly need to enjoy our stay. The views from the house and garden were stunning. The weather was fabulous so we spent most of our time in the garden eating and drinking and enjoying the view. We enjoyed delicious food from the local fish and chip shop and the Chinese takeaway - excellent prices too! We stayed here as part of a golfing trip and there was a great selection of superb golf courses a short drive away. Euan, our host was very helpful before and during our stay. Highly recommend this cottage and Cullen. We would love to go back for another trip and would stay longer the next time as it's so peaceful and relaxing. And of course we will choose Hillcrest for future bookings.

Negative: It was a perfect holiday experience - I can't think of anything to improve! Well done to all involved in making our stay so welcoming.

Positive: Nice view and house.

Negative: The owner. I accidentally left an item behind which I assumed the cleaner would notify the owner of. They didn’t and decided to keep it. When I challenged him I received a barrage of insults and arrogance. He couldn’t see what the problem was and when I said it was a personal item he responded with “one man’s treasure is another man’s trash”. Certainly not something you would expect from a host. I will therefore not be returning to this place.
