Summary: The breakfast came hot, well cooked and plentiful. The view over Skiddaw was beautiful. The B&B was in an excellent location, with easy access to all the Lakes and cumbrian coast. Easy access to and from the main routes.

Summary: When we stayed at Hermiston, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was immaculate and there was also a very comfortable and cosy lounge for guests to sit in as well as a garden if desired. Breakfast was cooked to order and quality and presentation was excellent.

Summary: Phil and Helen were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming, helpful and the breakfasts were great. Rooms are comfortable. Great location with walks, pubs and restaurants nearby so no need for the car. Would stay again.

Summary: We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs room.
