Positive: The location was perfect for our business trip, a few mins from Ruthin and located on a quiet road with a good view. Large car park and easy access (if you are ok with stairs as it is above a pub up some metal stairs) The pub is only open at weekends and is used by locals. The owner said we could take our drinks back to the flat so we could enjoy them with our dinner.

Negative: You would find the place difficult if you were tall as the whole flat is in the roof of the building and has sloping ceilings and low beams, especially the second and third bedroom. There are two double beds and a single bed but the flat is very small and under supplied with facilities for that many people. We got one loo roll, one t-towel, and no cloths to wipe anything down with. Very few cups and glasses for a bigger group. The towels were clean but smelt of mildew when wet so not nice! A descent sharp knife would have been good and a chopping board. It was very hard to make dinner with no salad bowl or wooden spoons to cook with. Having said that it was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for!

Summary: ok for a short stay for two people but not good for more than 2 nights or more than 2 people

Negative: It was on top of aan pub and beer gafden .you looked down on hkt tub and lodgrs .you wdre in an beer garden and lot os steps.

Positive: Absolutely perfect, fantastic location although you will need your own transport. Great places to eat in the local town. The views are amazing, it's really clean, well equipped, and the pub down stairs is spot on with an awesome atmosphere, they are great hosts very friendly and leave you to it. Would 100% go back.

Negative: Nothing. All very good.

Positive: met the host who showed us round the apartment we was struck by its position and the Wonderfull outlook and the fittings and the comfort of the beds having a pub under was was a great beer a real old fashioned pub with lovely ;locals

Negative: nothing comes to mind at all it makes a change to write a review with no complaints at all it was a shame the pub didn't do food but the beer was very good as was the friendliness of the locals

Summary: A great place to stay for a absolute rest and enjoy the lovely countryside

Positive: The host Nick was fab n friendly. He made us feel welcome immediately and took our luggage to the cottage flat upstairs. The cottage was beautiful and exactly as described. Lots of amenities and short of nothing. Beautiful tiny village with coffee shops and Ruthin Castle. Definitely worth a visit. Tesco, co-op and B&M all within reach in the town.

Negative: Unfortunately, my vehicle let us down before we even set off, so we got dropped off. Unfortunately, transport is a must. We used local taxis (Daveys), and he was more than happy to chauffeur us about to the small town. This, however, took its toll on our pocket. There are no bus routes from our accommodation. The pub below was closed on Tues-Fri and no longer did meals. We enjoyed the stay but having no transport of our own ruined the holiday. We left early.

Positive: Great location to chill out. Balcony offers very nice view of the sunset..Clean & welcoming accomodation. Adequate facilities in the kitchen. Made very welcome by the owners. 🙂

Negative: We don't mind the stairs up to the accomodation but may be a problem for some less abled.
