Positive: Everything about this place is amazing. The most comfortable bed of our stay. Steve and Trish are amazing hosts. Trish’s food is top notch and Steve invited us to the animal feeding which was my daughter’s highlight of the trip. They are a great team and we will be back. Next time will call or book on their website. Recommend everyone does that as well.

Negative: Nothing, everything was amazing.

Summary: Beautiful perfect end to our holiday.

Positive: Trish is a wonderful cook. We loved the food, much better than restaurants food. The room is decorated with all details with style.

Negative: The phone signal is very weak; internet is not reliable which is probably typical for remote area

Positive: Great location to explore the Mt Fields area. The room was spacious and facilities great whether self catering or in house dining. The meals available to choose from were all amazing and delivered to our room! We enjoyed walking to the dam and a tour around the farm. The host was also very helpful with local information and places to see.

Positive: Excellent location for Mt Field if you don't want to stay in the park itself. Rooms had all we needed and in good condition. Hosts were very friendly and encouraged walkabout on the farm. Best of all, was Trish's cooking. You would be missing atreat if you don't order dinner. The food offered is wide ranging and is simply to die for. High end restaurant standard delivered to your room.

Negative: The overnight temperatures were near zero. The heating simply cannot cope due to the age and style of the suite. We were in Queen. Ended up with heating on all the time and still struggled. Would be lovely in the summer.

Positive: Old style accommodation on a working farm. Trish and Steve were wonderful friendly hosts who prepare the most delicious meals served straight to your room. Our King suite was spacious and super comfy plus we had an enclosed verandah. We loved it..and Steve and Trish could not have been more helpful...did I say how good the meals are?!

Negative: the kitchen is a bit tired if this is important to you and want to self cater..but to be honest, just dont, let them serve you!

Positive: Hamlet Downs is a wonderful country retreat. The setting is beautiful and the working animals very interesting. Hosts are a wonderful couple who make you feel really welcome. Nearest shop is quiet a distance away so recommend the meals that are cooked by Trish. We celebrated our 20th anniversary with a 3 course meal that was so good. Enjoy.
