Positive: The room was excellent. Comfortable plus nice and warm when I arrived late - Breakfast Hamper perfect plus cold milk, orange juice and a large bottle of water in the fridge. Tea Coffee and Biscuits absolutely faultless...

Negative: The Thai food was poor - greasy, tasteless and as close to authentic Thai as fish and chips... I have never had Dim Sum deep fried and dripping with oil, the crispy wontons see through with oil.... I'd say all frozen and stuck in a deep fat fryer.... shame as was highly recommended.

Positive: The room was of a good size and clean and quiet . There were decent mirrors provided . Beds were comfortable . The young member of staff who showed us to our room was very polite . The parking could not have been closer to the door . It’s a beautiful area .

Negative: I have fitted Velux windows and the use of a long pole to open/close these windows was near impossible . You could push the window shut but to lock it was not possible for fear of breaking the pole . This meant one had to sleep and go out with unlocked windows . The front door lock needed adjustment , again I have fitted thousands of doors and have designed locks so I know how simply this could have been done . There was not a hair dryer , something most would expect these days . I don’t think many people would choose a continental breakfast but what was supplied was a good selection . We were not expecting two separate beds .
