About this space
Welcome to our flat! This beautiful upper flat is located on one of Halifax’s most desirable streets in the South End. Walking distance to Point Pleasant Park and downtown amenities. Features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, formal dining area, and 2 seating areas (a formal sitting area with fireplace and piano, and a casual sitting area with television). The property owners occasionally occupy the lower flat with their lovely dog.
The space
Upon arrival you will ascend an exterior flight of stairs to get to the entryway. Through the front door you will enter to the landing. This is a split entry home. The owners occupy the lower flat and therefore there is a locked steel door at the bottom of the stair case. You will again ascend one flight of stairs inside.
The living room, kitchen, and dining area are located towards the front of the flat. The primary bedroom features a queen bed with en suite and washer/dryer is at the back of the flat. There is a guest bedroom with a double bed, main-unit bathroom, and a family room with cable TV as well. The private patio is located off off the family room.

Guests have access to the upper flat, as well as the private back deck area. The backyard is used by the property owners.

Summary: Our stay was great with a couple of exceptions. The property was well appointed and decorated. Comfortable beds and good kitchen amenities. It was a very hot humid few days when we stayed. The air conditioning is not adequate. The windows in the back bedroom are broken and could not be opened so it felt a little claustrophobic. The tower fan in the back bedroom was not working properly. So it was uncomfortably hot.

Summary: Our family enjoyed our time in Halifax and truly appreciated the convenience of living within walking distance to many places of interest. We especially loved proximity to Point Pleasant Park where we walked our dog every morning and it was fantastic having a driveway to park the car. Kudos to our host for quickly responding to the request for extra towels and blankets. There are some things that would make the property even more attractive to guests including more consistent wifi coverage, less formal/more comfortable furniture in the living and dining rooms, and some outdoor seating for the back porch. Thanks again for a memorable stay.

Summary: We were pleasantly surprised upon entering the VRBO. The rooms were clean and the kids were happy to have a room to hangout in with a TV and WIFI. However the bedrooms and the back den were extremely warm even though there was a portable AC in the dining room where it was cool. We immediately opened the windows and were glad for the cool breeze. Thanks for the stay!

Summary: Honestly, this property was stunning. Better than the photos. Walking distance to everywhere. Gorgeous home, clean, immaculately clean, had everything we needed to cook and to feel at home, away from home. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave.

Summary: This place is huge and has everything anyone would ever need. We could also easily access Uncommon Grounds for coffee and Point Pleasant Park for walking our puppy. We were able to cook dinners, use the backyard to run around with our puppy, run loads of laundry, and have hot showers and step onto heated tile floors. The mattresses have a thick foam layer making them VERY soft, which may not be everyone's cup of tea but they were fine for us. The host was very easy to communicate with. We had a most enjoyable stay. My favourite part was the view out onto the street from the kitchen window.

Summary: It was lovely staying at this lovely house in the south end of Halifax. A nice neighborhood, near Point pleasant park which was a great place to take the dogs for their morning walk. House equipped with all necessary amenities, nothing left to be desired!
