Summary: The place is alright for the budget. However, the bed was very noisy and I move a lot in my sleep. I kept waking the whole dorm when I moved.

Summary: I loved my stay at Haka house Mt cook! I stayed in an 8 bed dorm room and found it to be very comfortable. The lockers were big and beds felt really private. Clean shower rooms and toilets. Kitchen was well equipped. The views right outside are absolutely stunning!

Summary: Very nice hostel in a wonderful location. Everything in Mount Cook Villaga is walking distance... no need for a vehicle when there. Property is very well kept and staff are present for most of the day. Everything you could need at your finger tips.

Summary: My first time staying at a Haka House hostel and I was blown away! They kindly let me check in early as my bed was ready and a towel was provided upon request. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm but it felt more like a 4 bed because of the way the room was divided. The beds were very well thought out with little shelves, a reading light, outlets, and a privacy curtain. The lockers were huge. Bathrooms were clean and shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided which was a pleasant surprise. I did some laundry and really appreciated the drying room as it was challenge to line dry with the wind. WiFi worked great and I was able to FaceTime with family and show them the incredible views from the hostel. It was a pricey stay but given the limited options in the village and the quality of the accommodation, it was absolutely worth it.

Summary: Room description was inaccurate- there was zero air conditioning available in the rooms. The only option were fans/heaters that did not work properly, or open the windows which resulted in freezing temperatures overnight. Bathrooms got incredibly dirty quickly in the mornings, but overall stay was ok with a great location and a good restaurant next door.

Summary: Excellent place to stay in Aoraki Mt Cook Nat'l Park with beautiful views and plenty of amenities. We appreciated the on site laundry, lounge areas, and the sauna! Dining options are limited in the park (~3 restaurants). Even though they're all good, you may want to plan ahead and bring groceries to take advantage of the communal kitchen area at the hostel. Helpful and friendly staff keep everything clean and tidy. We loved our experience here!
