Positive: Close to the station. Very clean. The host is friendly and willing to offer local recommendations. With the tips she gave me I enjoyed Iizaka without missing anything! Also Iizaka onsen are usually very hot! Better to listen to the local instructions for each onsen to know the temperature. Best place for solo travellers!

Negative: It’s a local house so there is no elevator. It’s not a problem at all for most backpackers and hostel users. Just in case you travel with elders families

Positive: Superb small house, the owner is amazing and caring, the place is clean and relatively close to restaurants and the train station. The best part is definitely the owner, such a sweet lady who helped me find things around town, offered me food and just was so nice to hang around with. Also her dogs are super cute

Positive: The couple running the place are really kind, they treated me like family. We ate together, chatted together, they told me all the best onsen and restaurants around the house. They were so kind, it’s hard to describe. The house was cleaned and functional and there are a lot of onsen and restaurants at a walking distance from there. I stayed one more day just to be around those people more. Thank you, Taku and Midori for a nice stay.
