Positive: Decent Location, overall good place to stay. Clean and tidy. The bunk/dorm rooms were secure, quiet, and comfy. I'd stay again.

Negative: The hostel lounge area isn't great for relaxing/socialising and is closed when staff aren't present.

Positive: The whole building felt light, spacious and clean. The bunk I had was comfortable and comparatively spacious, with enough room for my suitcase and backpack inside (bear in mind I'm over 2m tall, so this is no mean feat). The staff member I spoke to was friendly and helpful, and the toilet and shower were all great.

Positive: Fantastic people working here, very clean rooms and facilities, nice public space and a great location.

Negative: My only gripe was that the bed had an electric blanket laying on the matress. It was warm so I didn't use it but it is not super comfortable to lay on the wires. So maybe that should be optional instead of standard. But I probably could have asked them to remove it and it would have been fine!

Positive: I booked the female dorm for one night. La Union is well located - close to the station and with many shops and bars nearby. The staff is really friendly and also proficient in English. I even forgot my hand towel in my room the morning I checked out but they were so kind and placed it on my luggage in the locker (you can store your luggage in a locker before check-in or after check-out). Everything was also really clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay!
