Positive: Such a nice, beautiful and unique guesthouse! its a family-run guesthouse and its more like a little village consisting of a few little huts. they speak perfect english and are such heartwarming and friendly people! we felt so welcomed! they helped us with every (stupid) question we had and even picked us up from valbone city center because we didn't follow the signs nor double checked the location - we just followed the google maps adress and walked 1 hour too far.. so be sure to have the right location saved! once you get there its incredible! laying just at the edge of the forest directly next to the sea of stones with an astonishing view!

Positive: I'm an Albanian living in Canada and I ended up at this guesthouse because I wanted to finally do the Theth-Valbona hike. This was my favourite stay in Albania, and it was the most idyllic way to relax after the long hike. I did the hike at the end of May and it was quite chilly so I spent most of my time lounging in front of the cozy fireplace they have in the communal hangout cabin. We were served a huge and delicious traditional dinner for only an extra 13 euros, and also had an equally awesome and large breakfast included with ingredients made in their farm. The hosts were absolutely amazing, always friendly, helpful, and making sure we were attended to. Their little toddler Ryan was a joy to have running and playing around. You won't regret staying here if you're looking for an intimate and cozy stay in an idyllic small farm nested in the woods.

Negative: The shower was open so be prepared for the whole washroom to get wet when showering, but this is not too unusual for Albania. The bedroom was quite cold when I arrived in the beginning of June as it's a stone built cabin, but the hosts were thoughtful to provide a space heater, and the cool room made for really deep and restful sleep.

Summary: The most welcoming and cozy stay nested in the forest of the most gorgeous valley in Albania.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Hyrmet Demushi guest house! Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful; they went out of their way to help us with our onward journey, which we appreciated so much. We also had our most delicious meal of our whole trip here! It is a lovely, family-run guest house and we felt very grateful to be given such welcoming hospitality.

Negative: There was a power cut across the village for the night of our stay, so we had no electricity. However, there was still hot water and our hosts were very well-prepared, with chargeable lamps that they gave us so we could see.

Summary: A wonderful stay with a very lovely host family.

Positive: Back to nature! The rooms were cosy and beds really nice. Could use some finishing touches (no nightstand, only one wall light, bathroom was functional but a bit DIY). We joined for dinner and breakfast and loved it! Everything is homemade or home grown. Host was also really friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. Make sure to bring cash because you can’t pay with card or through booking.com! Recommend staying here if you’re doing the Valbona-Teth hike since it’s right alongside the trail.
