Summary: Having stayed at this resort previously, it was an easy decision to book here again. We did the all inclusive package and were satisfied with both breakfast and lunch. The dinners were good as well but we expected a bit more. The facility is well maintained and the staff is very helpful. If anyone decides to engage in the spa/massage you will not be disappointed, the cave massage is extremely soothing and you will come out feeling outstanding. All in all, this was a great vacation.

Summary: Avoid. Run down, awful food that isn’t available throughout the day, the property is really run down. Mold in bathrooms. Pool is cloudy. I could go on, but stay somewhere else.

Summary: The location is great, and the staff was professional and welcoming. The spa was wonderful and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, the rooms could use some remodeling and more attention to cleanliness. The bed was not comfortable, the porch area was dirty, and the outdoor furniture was old and not well maintained. The beach furniture was also old and could use updating or replacement. The food was not good, with the exception of breakfast, which was enjoyable. Overall, the property has a great location, professional staff, and an excellent spa, but improvements to the rooms, cleanliness, comfort of the beds, outdoor and beach furniture, and food quality would make the experience much better.

Summary: We had never considered Bermuda for a vacation, but work took us there. What beautiful island. Grotto Bay was a wonderful place to stay. They had a great beach, and it was a really fun experience to swim in the cave.

Summary: Our room had a water view but it was covered by lots of greenery. Everything was very clean but our room seemed a bit worn, could use updating. We did have a refrigerator and when we realized the blow dryer was broken, they promptly replaced it. The main resort buildings were spotless..the restaurants were excellent- wonderful food. Small pool and lovely private beach on the bay. Fish swimming all around in the area by the rocks- very calm water. The resort has a spa and a cave for swimming- just stunning! Grounds were lovely and resort had a bus stop across the street for easy access to get to island sites. You can also easily walk to the Crystal & Fantasy caves and the famous Swizzle Inn. We got around very well by bus, but if you never want to leave the resort, you will be very pleased with the beach, pool, gym, restaurants and other lawn activities. Service was amazing. Hotel staff very warm and welcoming.

Summary: We loved our girls weekend here! The beach is so clean and the water is beautiful. Everything was easy access- from the bar, restaurants, and the Cathedral Cave right on the way to the pool. The staff were beyond kind and helpful, and we were just a short walk from Twizzy rentals and the iconic Swizzle Inn. Highly recommend!

Summary: We had a great time but check in was awful. They need to work on communication. I partly blame this booking site. I booked 2 rooms for my family but because one room was a King and one was a Double the website gave me 2 separate reservations. I contacted the Grotto and asked to make sure we would be together. They emailed me their confirmation. When we checked in we were in 2 separate buildings! After arguing with the manager we were able to get 2 king rooms on same floor same building but my kids would have to move the next day to get a double we preferred for them. We dropped our bags with the bell men but after 30+ minutes my son went back and we dragged our bags up the hill because they were still sitting there. The next morning, I asked to have housekeeping prioritize the new room so we would not be without a room. They assured us they would. It never happened, we witnessed housekeeping go to other empty rooms first. We asked to be called or texted when room was ready. We were told we would get an email. The email never arrived. On the positive side we did the all inclusive and the food except for the BBQ buffet and Hibiscus Ribey (avoid) was surprisingly good ! Rooms were clean but a bit beat up. Bar tenders and waitstaff were very nice! Private beach was significantly nicer than the famous Tobacco Bay. Spa was lovely. Hot tub is small and needs an upgrade. This resort has TONS of steps! Get your stair master in before you go. I don’t recommend for elderly or disabled.
