Positive: Very comfortable accommodation with good facilities. The host and her family are nearby and very friendly. Having 2 bathrooms was great for a party of 5. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutleries, so we had relaxing meals with products from local farm shops. Having milk and biscuits provided on arrival was a welcoming touch. The location is very convenient close to the M6 so we could access different parts of the Lakes easily. We were initially a little worried about the narrow road for the last half mile or so, but the road is quiet and we never met any cars so it was not a problem. The stairs are not as narrow as we were led to expect, and with well placed rails we had no problems with the stairs either.

Negative: We went in the height of the summer, some of the blinds are see-through, and one big window in the double bed room has no curtain at all...not great for sleeping when it's light outside!
