Positive: This extremely friendly family welcomed me as though they had known me for years. I booked very last minute, within hours, because I had to leave a different place quickly. They were my miracle! Wi-Fi and AC were excellent. Bathroom & bedroom were extremely clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surroundings. I felt safe and relaxed, enjoyed walking in the area and talking with the family. They and their neighbors were so helpful and kind. They told me about local customs, shared fruits and vegetables. I was able to purchase meals they made that were delicious, and Made helped create a wonderful tour of the area before driving me to my next destination in Ubud. We visited local villages, temples, waterfalls, a coffee place. It was like a fun road trip with a long-time friend. I learned so much, and I was sad to say goodbye. They have created something special!

Negative: This is a remote, rugged location homestay, so be aware that you are not at a tourist hotspot. It was exactly what I was looking for, located near many waterfalls but best to be aware.

Positive: I stayed at Green Pacing Lodge for one month and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The place was peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. The staff were kind and always helpful, making me feel truly at home. It was the perfect environment for both relaxing and getting work done. (Good wifi) Highly recommended – I’d definitely stay again!

Positive: Bangli is not a tourist area, which meant I could get a feel for the real Bali. Madi, the host, was very welcoming even though I arrived much later than usual. The room i was given was on the 2nd floor, which gave me beautiful views of village life. It was very spacious and very clean. I was there to visit my daughter in the nearby hospital, and Madi took me there and back every day, stopping off to enable me to buy drinks and food and to assist me with whatever I required. On Sunday I was invited to dinner with the other guests. The food was delicious and there was dancing and karaoke and everyone had a great time. Madi told me a lot about the local culture and was very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this homestay more highly. Excellent value for money.
