Positive: This is a beautiful hotel that’s been very thoughtfully designed, with a lovely pool and really nice rooms and common area. The owner and team are friendly and helpful - proactively messaging on WhatsApp to sort out finer details and check you have what you need - and the dog is very cute!

Negative: The prices of the food and drink are really high for the quality ($10 for breakfast rather than $4 in similar accom / restaurants; $14ish for rice and curry compared to $5ish elsewhere), and the meals / drinks aren’t very tasty, especially for the price. It’s also pretty far away from anything, which means you’re a bit limited for food and drinks unless you go into Kandy (about 45 minutes away).

Summary: Beautiful property, friendly staff, food and drink need work!

Positive: We loved staying with Gaja and meeting her gorgeous dog Hazel. The property is so beautiful - just like we had stepped into a home beautiful magazine! Everyone made us feel at home. Our rooms were amazing and beautifully appointed and comfy. The pool and garden are really lovely and all meals were delicious. The hotel is a 20-30 minute tuk tuk ride to the city centre but it was lovely to escape the hustle and bustle at the end of the day and relax. We didn’t want to leave this tranquil and relaxing oasis in busy Kandy.

Negative: What’s not to love?

Positive: We absolutely loved everything about the place! It is so quiet and peaceful there, yet not far to Kandy by tuk-tuk. We would have loved to have stayed longer than the two days we had. We highly recommend!

Positive: An amazing place, beautifully designed. The owner is wonderful and very kind — it’s clear she cares about the place and wants guests to feel welcome. Very communicative and attentive. A bit far from the center, but peaceful and quiet, with stunning interiors and incredible views from the room and mezzanine.

Positive: Where to begin with such a special paradise as GODDESS , from the moment we arrived we were mesmerised and taken aback by just how beautiful the premises are , stunning plants and greenery in full bloom , outdoor nooks and a feast for the eyes in every direction . The rooms , common areas and lobby are tastefully decorated with all the comforts and appointments you'd ever need. We actually had plans to go out and explore Kandy more but with just how peaceful and serene it was here , we had no regrets at all in staying back to enjoy the ambience of GODDESS. All of our meals were lovingly prepared and delicious ,as someone with Sri Lankan heritage myself I was proud to see such authenticity with some creative twists. Gaya , along with her nephew Raguna , were always so wonderful and gracious , friendly and accommodating to all of our needs at any and all times even at short notice. The resident golden retriever Hazel is a cheeky fellow and a character but you'll no doubt fall in love with him as we did. Seriously one of the best and most memorable stays in all my years of travelling to Sri Lanka
