1 Bedroom Cottage in Cleveland

512' square shed converted to very cozy mountain bunkhouse style cottage with an open floorplan except for the bathroom. There's a large screened porch (32' x 8'), and a smaller deck with charcoal grill and fire pit. Still a work in progress. Secluded in the woods but very close to several state parks with fishing, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, scenic overlooks, canoeing & kayaking, and hiking areas. Very woodsy and peaceful.
Be sure to bring your groceries with you. There is a Dollar General about 3 miles away with some food items, and a very nice Ingle's about 12 miles north on Hwy. 11.
If you bring a pet it is required that you text me a picture of your baby(ies) inside the cottage. There is a mandatory $20 pet fee, and an additional $20 will be charged to your account if any "accidents" are left inside, or on the porch and deck. Yes, people have done that.
Please note - This is pet-friendly cottage, and most of our guests bring their dogs to visit. We diligently clean between each guest and try to make sure all surfaces are clean of pet hair. Sometimes, we may fall short. If any kind of pet hair is a problem for you and not to your liking, this may not be the cottage for you.
There is no mandatory cleaning fee, but guests are encouraged to leave a tip for the cleaning staff, especially if you stay multiple nights, or are extra messy.
Note: The ceilings in the living areas are low and under the lofts in the shed. If you're tall, it may feel a little cramped.
Cosmetic updates are being done so there is a bit of clutter at one end of the screened porch. All of the amenities are good, though. Thank you for your understanding.

Summary: Plenty of space for my wife and me and our dog. Communication with our host (Charlotte) was excellent. After days spent hiking and otherwise exploring the surrounding area - it was also nice to unwind on the screened in back porch. We both found the bed to be very comfortable as well.

Summary: We spent three days at the cabin. The bed was comfortable, Charlotte had some dog dishes ready for my dog (and I forgot her dishes). We had everything we needed. It took me a few minutes to figure out the induction stove. You have to put the pan or pot on the burner before you choose the temperature, but after that it was smooth sailing! I loved the back porch and the rockers. There was a tower fan and a ceramic heater available and the last day we thing wefigured out the air conditioner can double as a heater. Cute and homey decor. We didn't meet Charlotte but we were gone a couple of days exploring.

Summary: Very cozy and comfortable little cottage tucked away in a very peaceful corner of the mountains. I plan to stay here again! Host was very cordial and responsive.The road in is a little rough, not a problem for me, really, just be prepared and aware and take it slow. I recommend this one!

Summary: Just what I was hoping for! Trees, mountains, privacy, comfort... so amazing! The cabin was adorable, very well thought out, simple, comfortable, warm shower with good water pressure! Loved it so much. Close to State Parks and lots of trails, stuff to do.

Summary: My husband and I came to the cabin for a little weekend getaway and to have a peaceful, quiet Thanksgiving holiday with our puppy and each other. The cabin was ADORABLE, super clean, well stocked with supplies, and we loved how isolated we felt, while still having excellent wifi. We were able to read, play videogames, watch Christmas movies, and relax! Absolutely would stay again!!

Summary: My partner and I (and our two dogs) greatly enjoyed our time at Charlotte's cabin. It was very quiet and had all the amenities we needed. I will say that the drive up from the main road was more precarious than I was expecting based on the information provided in the listing. I have a midsize SUV, so it was no problem for us, but I would not recommend driving a sedan up the dirt/gravel roads.
