Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Private 35 Acre retreat at the end of a lane hidden from the main road. Property has the most amazing views of the La Plata mountains in!! Primary Bedroom with king bed has adjoining bathroom with soaking tub and shower. Off this bath is a sunroom. The secondary bedroom features two twin beds. The family room features a wet bar space with twin daybed with trundle for extra sleeping space. The television is also located in this space.
The space:
Beautiful single level residence located approximately 15 minutes from downtown Durango, CO. While off of a main road, the house is remote, so please note there will be no street lights.
Guest access:
Entire home (excluding garage, fireplace, barn and fenced pastures)
Other things to note: Home is located approximately 10 minutes from Lake Nighthorse and 15 minutes from Downtown Durango. Property caretaker resides on property to assist if you have any issues during your stay.
The "travel crib" listed under kids items is actually a pack-n-play, but the site does not allow you to specify such.
Please note: Depending on the season, there may be livestock and/or horses in the surrounding pastures and in the barn. Someone may enter barn daily to care for said animals. Please do not enter the fenced in areas.
Additional note: We do our best to ensure the driveway is plowed as soon as possible during periods of inclement weather; however, we cannot guarantee how quickly such is completed. We are also prone to large amounts of snow. Based upon the above, we urge guests to have 4wd, awd or chains during the snow season. We also cannot allow for any personal recreation vehicle use (quad, SXS, UTV ) at the property.

Summary: Overall, this property was very nice. Only window A/C units- 2 of which were in bedrooms with doors closed at night leaves only 1 window unit to cool the entire house. That wasn't enough.The main part of the house, the family room area and dining room, had huge windows on both sides of the house with no blinds or curtains. We thought it was no big deal because you are in the middle of nowhere with no close neighbors...but several times during our stay a black and a white pick-up truck appeared in front of the house. Never saw people, but it was creepy. Especially when you can see into previously mentioned windows because there is no way to ensure privacy. We were very disturbed.

Summary: Super cute house in the country with the best view of the mountains. My family loved our stay here and it was a short 15 min drive to Durango. Highly recommend staying here and the host was quick with any questions i had before our stay. No issues during our stay and i would 100% stay here again. Perfect if you prefer the country to staying in town and are looking for breathtaking views.
