Summary: Our stay was perfect. Room 110, a three-person room at the back, is new, with a superb mountain view from the bathroom. The owner is very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was adequate and sufficient for us. The Wi-Fi is not adequate at the back of the building, and the owner provided a box that worked very well. The restaurant portions are generous and the food is good. I would suggest providing "unsweetened" and low-fat options at breakfast for people who don't eat sugar or too much fat, like low fat yogourt, low fat jam, low calories sweeteners. Juices were also canned juices.

Summary: We had a great time here! Quaint place with wonderful views and a lovely restaurant. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Easy to get around the area since it's so close to the train.

Summary: We have for several years stayed here on our way to Italy during summer. This is a family tradition and our kid would hate if stayed elsewhere. We love it. Friendly staff good rooms and good schnitzels.

Summary: Simply amazing, the hosts could not have done more to make our stay any better, friendly and accommodating. Fixed earlier breakfast so we could get on with our activities, warm welcome on our return for a day out. Fantastic meals and changed the menu daily for the vegetarians in our group. It was well priced and easy access to most things. Just stay here!

Summary: owner was very helpful when we checked in. Ate in hotel one night and had the menu translated by staff who did everything they could to improve our stay.

Summary: Very clean and friendly hotel. Delish breakfast every morning. Bus stop very close to hotel. Walk to gondala in westerndorf took aboit 15mins. Would recommend hiring locker at gondala station to store skis etc

Summary: Extremely helpful staff, most with good English especially the receptionist. Large room with two half-mattresses stuck together, not the best but typical for Europe. Tasty food at the downstairs restaurant. The hotel has its own stop for the buses that bring skiers to the various base areas.

Summary: I stayed at Gasthof Aschenwald in Jan. 2016 for a ski trip and experienced great food, service and a postcard perfect Austrian Gasthof. Rosi Aschenwald is a wonderful host and as former Austrian Ski Champ, great advice for skiing and riding the various ski areas, including Kitzbuhl, which is very close by. In summary, nice breakfasts and dinners and a great value for the money!
