Positive: This place is a nature lovers dream. Surrounded by lush green rainforest,waking up to birds singing was absolutely blissful. The reception desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. The staff at the Monkey Bar just lovely. The Tour staff: Ernesto,Iker,Captain George were the best!
Negative: The hotel needs some updating,while it was clean, my room was quite dated and unimpressive. Not even pictures on the wall, but I went there for the scenery and not the room. I also didn't like being " upsold" a meal plan when I checked in, which leads me to my other issue of no microwaves in the rooms. Since the only options for meals were the restaurants at the resort; I would have liked to be able to heat food up.
Summary: Manage your expectations , comfort over luxury.

Positive: The best hotel we had in Panama. So beautiful and the views! Very nice staf. Close to al lot of things to do. Very big and clean swimming pool. We went by the Summit hotel because they cancelled our booking, happy that we stayed in Gamboa instead. Do not hesitate anymore!

Positive: Scenery is breathtaking! So is the wildlife. We had a blast on the tours especially the boat tour, night safari and zip lines
Negative: Hotel is a little dated and the rooms do have a little funk from the humidity. Then again, you are in the rainforest. I don’t rate the fishing trip.
Summary: A little dated but the wildlife, tours and scenery are soooo worth it

Positive: Location is amazing. Buffets are quality. Rooms are spacious.
Negative: The fridge in the room had no temp setting and froze what we put in there.

Positive: A good option to stay almost in the middle of Gamboa forest, we saw monkeys from the hall! It has a food package which was convenient. We had a short free tour in the night and went to see the sloths
Negative: The surrounding is kind of creepy, because of a lot of abandoned houses which they preserve as patrimony. They do not belong to the hotel but they seem to. I asked about tours (sloth sanctuary) , in case we could go by our own (we had a car) and they told me we could nt, but really felt as if they wanted to sell me the tour.
