Positive: A hidden jewel in the Wahiba Sands. Absolute serenity and refined elegance Our stay at Fyafy Camp was unforgettable. From the very first moment, Amer welcomed us with genuine kindness and quiet grace. His sense of hospitality reflects rare elegance, everything here feels thoughtful, refined, and deeply authentic. The camp itself is immaculate: beautifully decorated, intimate, and perfectly integrated into the desert landscape. The traditional camel-hair tents are superbly designed, the bedding exceptionally comfortable, and the setting breath-taking, surrounded by golden dunes in absolute silence. With only three tents, the experience feels private and exclusive, as if every guest were personally chosen. The dinner was simply extraordinary, authentic, flavourful, and far beyond what most desert camps serve to tourists. It had the taste of true Omani hospitality, generous and refined at once. I must admit I’m usually skeptical about “exceptional” ratings on booking platforms, but as someone who knows deserts well, I can say this camp truly deserves it. I am a demanding traveller who has visited deserts around the world, yet this place stands apart. No intrusive lights, no engine noise, no concrete structures. Just purity, calm, and the infinite beauty of the Wahiba Sands. Amer and his discreet team embody the art of true hospitality. He advises with tact, ensures every detail, and even accompanies guests himself to the camp, whether or not they come by 4x4. At night, removable mattresses allow you to sleep on the terrace under one of the most spectacular starry skies imaginable. Fyafy Camp is a rare destination, intimate, luxurious, and deeply inspiring. Amer has created something unique: a place where silence, beauty, and grace meet in perfect harmony.

Positive: There are a number of available options for a stay in a desert in the area, but Fyafy camp is a top choice from our experience. First, the location, it is deep enough into the desert, which offers a very dark night sky perfect for star gazing. We had a fun drive to the camp with a 4x4 car escorted by our host. The camp is already in quite high dunes and right besides the very scenic ones, which offered fantastic scenery both to experience and feel the atmosphere and for the photographs. If you look for a private camp (three tents), to fully immerse in the atmosphere it is a perfect choice as it felt like we had the whole desert for ourselves. The camp is set up with a lot of attention to the details, offers comfort, and is very beautifully designed, fantastic for photography enthusiasts in how beautifully the tents blend into the environment. It was a really nice touch that we could sleep under the night sky as we preferred (there was a dedicated mattress provided for this in the tent). As well, both the dune bashing and the Camel ride activities were available, we have tried both and was definitely worth it, it has really added to the experience. Amer is a fantastic host, and made our stay very welcome from the assistance for the arrival, to stories on Omani culture. Very smooth communication. For the activities and in general didn't feel pushy, but rather open and making us feel at home. As well, if you are looking for parfum, Amer can recommend you a great shop, as we very much liked the smell of the one he was wearing. If you are choosing a camp and may feel overwhelmed by the options, I can only recommend to look no further as everything to the details was top and with comfort and has made it a highlight of our trip.

Positive: This was the most comfortable bed I had my whole trip to Oman, it was like sleeping in a cloud in the middle of the desert. Everything was quality, clean & just amazing. Ahmed was the best host, he made sure we had everything we needed, escorted us out in our car to camp, and was kind & funny. The food was amazing, and so much of it! Never ending tea, coffee and snacks. If you haven’t booked your desert camp, and if you like quiet beautiful spaces and true authentic experiences then book this one 🤎

Positive: This was the highlight of our Oman trip. It was an unbelievable experience. Even before getting to the camp, Amer was a great host giving us detailed instructions on the meeting point. Once arrived to the camp, we were left speechless: you truly are in a magical, isolated place with just three tents. The tent itself was big and super comfortable, with electricity, running hot water and all the amenities you would expect in a hotel - just this time you’re out in the desert. The camp is located in a prime location with beautiful sunset and sunrise view, surrounded by sand dunes and camels. Amer and his staff prepared an amazing dinner with local specialities as well as camel meat skewers. Even at night, we had access to water and snacks in case needed. We had such a peaceful sleep in the tent! We were also blessed with a yummy traditional breakfast the morning after. Thank you Amer for making this experience truly memorable!
