Positive: Gemma was very welcoming and offered lovely hospitality in her beautiful home. Everything was meticulously prepared and extremely clean and comfortable.

Negative: I thought everything was top class. Proximity to Cork Airport was a wonderful bonus and made catching an early morning flight so easy and stress-free.

Positive: Accommodations in the Cork City area are expensive, and Foxglove is very reasonably priced. The accommodation is part of the owner's single-level house, with a separate entrance at the back. The shower was very nice. The owner provided continental breakfast-type food for us (we just used the milk for tea). The listing on Booking.com states that the kitchen is shared, which is false.

Negative: Cleanness could be better. The owner notified us that the front door can't be locked from the outside, but can be locked from the inside. However, the deadbolt didn't engage, and we ended up propping the kitchen high chair up against the deadbolt nob at night. Two separate interior doors between the kitchen and the bedroom can be locked with their own keys. The bedroom is tiny, and there is not enough room for two suitcases left open on the floor. So we moved the bedroom dresser out of the bedroom to make room. The bathroom sink was too small to wash my face (I recommend using the kitchen sink instead). The preprogrammed radiator heating in the bedroom (guests can't control) didn't turn on until 8 am. It was very cold when getting up at 6 am in December.

Summary: Good choice in the Cork City area if you are driving and the low price is the most important factor.

Positive: Nice quiet location, ideal for us as family only live 5mins away Good breakfast left out with snacks and fruit and plenty of tea and coffee choices. Host very helpful

Positive: The host is one of the nicest and kindest persons I've met and a fab little spot for single, couple, worker, anything. A lovely quiet clean room and ideal location just a few mins drive from city. Will deffo be back and highly highly recommend.
